About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled and persuasive Grant Writer to secure vital funding for their operations in East London . This role is instrumental in researching funding opportunities, developing compelling proposals, and building relationships with foundations and grant-making bodies. You will play a key part in ensuring the financial sustainability of the organization and enabling the continuation of its critical services within the Eastern Cape. Key Responsibilities
- Research and identify potential funding sources, including foundations, corporations, and government grants.
- Develop persuasive and well-researched grant proposals, applications, and reports.

- Ensure all grant submissions adhere to the specific guidelines and requirements of funders.
- Manage the grant submission process, meeting all deadlines and follow-up requirements.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with key contacts at funding organizations.

Requirements
- Proven experience as a Grant Writer or in a similar role, with a strong track record of securing funding.
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly.
- Strong research skills to identify relevant funding opportunities.
- Proficiency in grant management software and standard office applications.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple deadlines, and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
