About the Role
Our client, a dynamic financial services provider in East London, Eastern Cape , is seeking a specialized Endpoint Security Specialist. This role focuses on protecting the company's diverse range of endpoints, including desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and servers, from malware, unauthorized access, and other cyber threats. You will be responsible for deploying, configuring, and managing endpoint security solutions, monitoring for threats, and responding to incidents related to endpoint compromise. This hybrid position allows for a balance of remote work and on-site presence at our East London office. It's a fantastic opportunity to deepen your expertise in endpoint security within a regulated industry, contributing directly to the protection of sensitive client data and company assets.
Key Responsibilities
- Deploy, configure, manage, and maintain endpoint security solutions (e.g., EDR, antivirus, host-based firewalls).
- Monitor endpoint security logs and alerts for suspicious activities and potential threats.
- Investigate and respond to endpoint security incidents, including malware infections and unauthorized access.
- Perform regular health checks and vulnerability assessments of endpoint security tools.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for endpoint security management.
- Ensure endpoint security solutions are up-to-date with the latest definitions and configurations.
- Provide guidance and support to end-users on endpoint security best practices.
- Collaborate with IT operations and system administrators to ensure consistent security posture across all endpoints.
- Stay informed about emerging endpoint threats and technologies.
- Contribute to the overall information security strategy from an endpoint perspective.
