Key Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and manage all electrical installation activities on construction sites.
• Supervise and lead teams of electricians and electrical foremen, ensuring efficient work execution.
• Develop detailed project schedules for electrical installations and monitor progress against timelines.
• Ensure strict adherence to all safety regulations, implementing and enforcing safety protocols on site.
• Manage the procurement of electrical materials and equipment, ensuring timely delivery and quality.
• Interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications to guide installation activities.
• Coordinate effectively with site engineers, project managers, clients, and other contractors.
• Oversee quality control of electrical installations, ensuring compliance with standards and specifications.
• Manage project budgets related to electrical installations, controlling costs and identifying potential risks.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any on-site electrical installation issues promptly and efficiently.

Requirements

• National Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in electrical installation and construction management.
• Proven experience managing large-scale electrical installation projects in commercial, industrial, or residential sectors.
• In-depth knowledge of electrical installation codes and standards (e.g., SANS 10142-1).
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, earthing, and low voltage systems.
• Excellent leadership, team management, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in project management principles and relevant software.
• Ability to read and interpret complex electrical drawings and specifications.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as required for projects in and around **East London, Eastern Cape**.
• Trade test qualification (e.g., Electrician) is highly desirable.
