About the Role
Our client, a leading automotive manufacturer, is seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join their production facility in East London . This role is vital for ensuring the smooth operation and continuous improvement of electrical systems and automated machinery within the manufacturing plant. You will be responsible for maintaining high levels of operational efficiency, safety, and quality by leveraging your expertise in electrical systems and automation. Key Responsibilities
- Design, install, and maintain electrical systems and equipment for automotive production lines, including robotics, PLCs, and control panels.
- Troubleshoot electrical faults and implement effective repair solutions to minimize production downtime.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers and production staff, to optimize manufacturing processes and equipment performance.
- Ensure all electrical installations and maintenance activities comply with safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
- Participate in the evaluation and implementation of new automation technologies to enhance efficiency and productivity.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in electrical engineering within a manufacturing or industrial setting, preferably automotive.
- Proficiency in PLC programming (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley) and HMI development.
- Strong understanding of industrial electrical systems, motor controls, and power distribution.
- Experience with robotic systems and automated manufacturing equipment is a significant advantage.
