About the Role
Our client is seeking an accomplished and results-driven Construction Site Manager to lead operations on major projects in East London . This demanding on-site role requires exceptional leadership to oversee all aspects of site activities, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget. You will be responsible for managing site personnel, subcontractors, material procurement, and quality control. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of successfully managing complex construction sites, possesses strong problem-solving abilities, and is dedicated to upholding the highest standards of safety and project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise all daily construction activities on site, ensuring adherence to plans and specifications.
- Implement and enforce rigorous health and safety protocols, ensuring a safe working environment for all personnel.
- Coordinate and manage subcontractors, suppliers, and site staff to optimize workflow and productivity.
- Monitor project progress against the schedule, identify potential delays, and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure high standards of quality workmanship and materials are maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
- Oversee site logistics, including material delivery, equipment management, and site security.
Requirements
- Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in construction site management or a similar leadership role.
- Comprehensive knowledge of construction methods, building codes, and safety regulations.
- Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and project documentation.
