About the Role
Our client, a distinguished provider of comprehensive cleaning and facilities management services in the East London, Eastern Cape region, is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Commercial Cleaning Operations Manager. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all aspects of daily commercial cleaning operations across the East London service area.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of cleaning supervisors and operational staff.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance operational efficiency, service quality, and profitability.
- Establish and enforce rigorous quality control standards and performance metrics.
- Manage operational budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and resource optimization.
- Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key clients, addressing concerns and identifying opportunities for service expansion.
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, optimizing procurement and usage.
- Oversee training programs for operational staff to ensure best practices and safety compliance.
- Respond effectively to operational challenges and implement timely solutions.
Requirements
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in commercial cleaning operations management.
- Proven track record of successfully managing large teams and complex operational budgets.
- In-depth knowledge of cleaning methodologies, equipment, chemicals, and industry best practices.
- Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental compliance in the cleaning industry.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and client management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic operational improvements.
- Proficiency in facilities management software and MS Office Suite.
- Ability to work under pressure, make sound decisions, and manage multiple priorities.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Business Management, Facilities Management, or a related field is highly desirable.
- Must be based in or willing to relocate to the East London area, with flexibility for travel.
