About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled Civil Engineer with a specialization in Structural Design to join their dynamic team in East London . This role involves the design and analysis of structural components for a variety of building and infrastructure projects, ensuring safety, stability, and efficiency. You will collaborate with architects, other engineers, and project teams to bring conceptual designs to life. Key Responsibilities
- Perform structural analysis and design for buildings, bridges, and other infrastructure, using advanced software tools.
- Develop detailed structural drawings, calculations, and specifications for construction.
- Ensure designs comply with the latest South African National Standards (SANS) and building codes.
- Collaborate with project teams to integrate structural designs with architectural and other engineering disciplines.
- Conduct site inspections during construction to verify compliance with design documents.
- Provide technical support and solutions to construction challenges encountered during the project lifecycle in East London .
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Structural Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural design and analysis.
- Proficiency in structural analysis and design software (e.g., SAP2000, Prokon, Revit Structure).
- Solid understanding of material properties (concrete, steel) and construction methods.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and excellent communication skills for effective collaboration.
