About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Childcare Centre Assistant Teacher to support lead teachers in providing a nurturing and educational environment for young children in East London . This role involves assisting with daily routines, implementing lesson plans, and providing direct care and supervision to children. You will play a vital role in fostering a positive learning atmosphere, ensuring the safety and well-being of every child. Key Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers in planning and implementing daily activities, including lessons, crafts, and outdoor play.
- Provide direct supervision and care for children, ensuring their safety and emotional well-being.
- Support children with daily routines such as feeding, diapering/toileting, and nap times.
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment.
- Communicate effective with lead teachers, parents, and colleagues about children's progress and needs.
- Observe children's interactions and development, reporting any concerns to the lead teacher.
Requirements
- A relevant qualification or certificate in Early Childhood Development is preferred, or equivalent experience.
- Previous experience in a childcare setting is highly desirable.
- Good understanding of child development principles and best practices.
- Patience, warmth, and a genuine love for working with young children.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Must possess First Aid and CPR certification or be willing to obtain it.
