About the Role
Our client is looking for a reliable and experienced Catering Supervisor - Events to oversee the successful execution of catering services for various functions in East London . This role requires strong leadership skills to manage event staff, ensure adherence to service standards, and coordinate with clients to deliver exceptional experiences. You will be key in maintaining the company's reputation for quality and professionalism within the dynamic event landscape of the Eastern Cape .
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and direct catering staff during events, ensuring efficient setup, service, and breakdown.
- Monitor food and beverage quality, presentation, and adherence to client specifications.
- Liaise with event organizers and clients to confirm event details and address any immediate needs or concerns.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and hygiene regulations throughout event operations.
- Assist in managing inventory of event supplies and equipment.
- Provide training and guidance to junior catering staff to uphold service excellence.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in catering supervision or event service management.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a team in a high-pressure event setting.
- Strong understanding of food and beverage service protocols and presentation standards.

- Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
