Our client is seeking a dedicated Buyer specializing in Indirect Services to join their procurement team in East London. This role is focused on sourcing and procuring a wide range of non-operational goods and services, such as IT equipment, professional services, facilities management, and travel. You will be responsible for managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality for these essential support functions. Key Responsibilities
- Manage the procurement process for indirect spend categories, including IT, HR, Marketing, and Facilities.
- Identify potential suppliers, conduct RFPs, and negotiate terms and pricing for services and indirect goods.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers of indirect services.
- Ensure all procurements comply with company policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor supplier performance and work towards continuous improvement in service delivery and cost efficiency.
- Collaborate with internal departments to understand their needs for indirect goods and services.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- 2-4 years of experience in purchasing or procurement, with specific experience in sourcing indirect services.
- Proven negotiation skills and experience in contract management.
- Proficiency with procurement systems and MS Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder management.
