About the Role
Our client is seeking a reliable and experienced Automotive Technician to perform general repairs and maintenance on a variety of vehicles at their workshop in East London . You will be responsible for diagnosing issues, performing repairs efficiently and accurately, and ensuring customer vehicles are returned in excellent condition. This hands-on role requires strong mechanical aptitude and a commitment to providing high-quality service. You will work within a friendly team, contributing to the smooth operation of the workshop and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance services, including oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical problems, such as brake issues, suspension faults, and exhaust system repairs.
- Conduct thorough vehicle inspections and recommend necessary repairs or preventative maintenance.
- Replace worn or damaged parts, ensuring proper fitment and function.
- Use diagnostic equipment and tools to identify and resolve vehicle issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized work bay, adhering to safety standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Automotive Technician or mechanic.
- Solid understanding of vehicle mechanical systems and general repair procedures.
- Proficiency with common automotive tools and diagnostic equipment .
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet service schedules.
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- A valid driver's license.
