About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled and motivated Automotive Mechanical Technician to become an integral part of their workshop team in Queenstown. This role involves performing a wide range of mechanical repairs and maintenance on various vehicle makes and models. You will be responsible for diagnosing issues, executing repairs efficiently and effectively, and ensuring that all work meets the highest standards of quality. We are looking for a dedicated professional who is passionate about mechanics and committed to providing excellent service, contributing to the operational efficiency of our busy garage in the Eastern Cape.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance services, including oil changes, fluid checks, and tire rotations.
- Diagnose and repair engine, transmission, suspension, and braking system issues.
- Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to identify mechanical faults.
- Carry out complex mechanical repairs and replacements of parts.
- Ensure all work is completed according to manufacturer specifications and safety guidelines.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and manage service documentation accurately.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Automotive Mechanical Technician or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of automotive mechanical systems and diagnostic procedures.
- Proficiency with hand and power tools, as well as automotive diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- A valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record.
