About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled Aircraft Interiors Technician to join their maintenance team in East London. This role is dedicated to the repair, refurbishment, and installation of aircraft cabin interiors, ensuring they meet aesthetic standards, safety regulations, and passenger comfort requirements. You will work with a variety of materials and systems within the cabin, including seating, galleys, lavatories, and overhead bins. The ideal candidate possesses excellent craftsmanship, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality interior finishing in a fast-paced aviation environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform repairs, modifications, and installations of aircraft cabin interior components.
- Work with various materials such as fabrics, plastics, composites, and metals.
- Conduct pre- and post-maintenance inspections of cabin interiors.
- Ensure all interior work complies with aviation safety standards and regulations.
- Troubleshoot and repair issues related to cabin systems (e.g., lighting, seat mechanisms).
- Maintain accurate records of all work performed.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Aircraft Interiors Technician or in a related field (e.g., upholstery, cabinetry).
- Skilled in using hand and power tools relevant to interior finishing and repair.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Attention to detail and a high standard for craftsmanship.
- Understanding of aircraft cabin safety requirements.
- Experience with composite materials is an advantage.
