About the Role
Our client is looking for a skilled Aircraft Cabin Mechanic to join their team in East London . This role is focused on the maintenance, repair, and modification of aircraft cabin interiors, including seats, galleys, lavatories, overhead bins, and in-flight entertainment systems. Your work will directly contribute to passenger comfort, safety, and the overall aesthetic appeal of the aircraft. The ideal candidate possesses excellent craftsmanship, a keen eye for detail, and experience working with various cabin materials and systems. You will be an essential part of a maintenance crew dedicated to ensuring the highest standards of cabin functionality and passenger experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on aircraft cabin components and furnishings.
- Troubleshoot and repair issues related to in-flight entertainment systems, lighting, and electrical cabin elements.
- Conduct inspections of cabin interiors for wear, damage, or non-compliance.
- Install new cabin components and perform modifications according to specifications.
- Ensure all cabin-related work meets aviation safety standards and regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of all cabin maintenance and repair activities.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in aircraft cabin maintenance or a related field.
- Proficiency in working with aircraft cabin materials such as fabrics, plastics, and composites.
- Experience with aircraft interior systems, including IFE, lighting, and galleys.
- Ability to read and interpret cabin maintenance manuals and technical drawings.
- Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail.
