About the Role
Our client is looking for a proficient Aerospace Electrical Technician to join their team in East London . This role involves the installation, maintenance, testing, and repair of electrical systems and components on aircraft. You will be responsible for ensuring the reliable functioning of critical electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, and avionics wiring. This position demands a strong understanding of electrical principles and practices within the aerospace industry, ensuring the highest standards of safety and performance are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair aircraft electrical systems, wiring, and components according to technical specifications and diagrams.
- Perform diagnostic tests on electrical systems to identify faults and determine necessary repairs.
- Utilize a variety of electrical test equipment, hand tools, and power tools.
- Interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and maintenance manuals accurately.
- Document all work performed, including tests conducted, parts replaced, and labour hours.
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols, company procedures, and aviation regulatory standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Aerospace Electrical Technician or equivalent role.
- Strong knowledge of aircraft electrical systems, including power generation, distribution, and avionics wiring.
- Proficiency in using electrical testing equipment (e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes, specialized testers).
- Ability to read and interpret complex electrical schematics and technical documentation.
- Relevant technical certification or trade qualification in electrical engineering or avionics.
- Excellent attention to detail and a strong commitment to safety and quality in an aerospace environment.
