Role Overview: Lead end‑to‑end management of London/UK‑managed products and lifecycle processes across both trading and banking books for Bank of China London Branch and Bank of China (UK) Limited. Drive the engineering and delivery of IT solutions that support business growth and operational challenges.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the team and oversee daily operations, ensuring orderly, efficient, and compliant execution of workflows.
- Design and manage Central Counterparty (CCP) and London/UK‑led products from launch through ongoing enhancement.
- Coordinate cross‑functional initiatives, act as central point of contact among stakeholders, and resolve operational issues.
- Develop and implement product strategy, market positioning, and client‑centric improvements.
- Oversee risk management frameworks across the product lifecycle for CCP and IBA Gold Auction, ensuring regulatory compliance and internal policy adherence.
- Drive process optimisation initiatives to improve Straight‑Through Processing (STP) and reduce manual intervention.
- Assist in marketing and promotion of CCP and IBA Gold Auction services, including creating materials, delivering training, and supporting business development.
- Conduct performance analysis and prepare reports for Head Office and management in English and Chinese.
- Support system upgrades and digital transformation initiatives.
- Supervise the team, set objectives, and conduct performance appraisals.
- Undertake additional tasks and projects as assigned by HOD and Senior Management.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Banking, Finance, Business, or related field.
- Demonstrated experience in a relevant business area within Financial Services, preferably in the banking industry.
- Solid understanding of financial market products and ability to analyse business automation needs.
- Management experience in a similar role.
- Proficiency in programming (advantage).
- Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.
- Highly organised and able to work in a fast‑paced environment.
- Ability to proactively anticipate, identify, and resolve problems.
