Financial Markets Department covers both trading book and banking book activities for Bank of China London Branch and Bank of China (UK) Limited. As a Vice President - Financial Markets Product & Platform Management, you will be responsible for the end-to-end management of London/UK-managed products and lifecycle processes, including product development, cross-functional coordination, ongoing process optimisation and regular MI reporting. You will play a critical role in contributing to the engineering and delivery of IT solutions addressing business growth and operational challenges. This is a full time permanent position.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the team and oversee the team’s daily operations to ensure orderly, efficient and compliant execution of workflows
- Support the end-to-end design and management of Central Counterparty (CCP) and London/UK-led products across the full lifecycle, covering product launch, process setup, performance monitoring, post-launch evaluation and continuous enhancement. Contribute to product strategy, market positioning and client-centric improvements
- Act as a central coordinator among key stakeholders, drive efficient communication, resolve operational issues and continuously enhance product competitiveness and client experience
- Support the implementation of robust risk management frameworks across the product lifecycle for CCP and IBA Gold Auction. Ensure adherence to applicable regulatory requirements and internal policies, and oversee the effective execution of risk control measures
- Drive process optimisation initiatives to enhance Straight-Through Processing (STP), improve operational efficiency and reduce manual intervention
- Assist in the marketing and promotion of CCP and IBA Gold Auction services, including developing materials, delivering training for internal teams and external clients, and supporting business development initiatives
- Conduct regular business and performance analysis for CCP and IBA Gold Auction services, prepare reports for Head Office and management in English and Chinese as required, and support ongoing system upgrades and digital transformation initiatives
- Supervise the team, set performance objectives and conduct regular performance appraisals
- Undertake additional tasks and projects as assigned by the HOD and Senior Management
Requirements
- Degree educated in Banking, Finance, Business, or other relevant subject
- Demonstrated experience in relevant business area within Financial Services, ideally in Banking industry
- Solid understanding of financial market products combined with the ability to analyse business automation needs and architect practical solutions
- Demonstrated management experience in a similar role
- Proficiency in programming is an advantage

- Highly organised and able to work in a fast paced environment
- Ability to proactively anticipate, identify and resolve problems
- Willing to take projects from ideation or assignment through to execution
