Operations Services department provides processing support for the front line business units handling trade finance, loan and cash management products while operating as a 1LoD processing function. As a Junior Assistant - Loan Administration, you will be responsible for administering the delivery of all functions in respect of syndicated and bilateral loans, providing good operational support and services to Corporate Banking, Financial Institutions and Risk Management departments as well as other relevant stakeholders. This is a full time permanent position.
Key responsibilities
- Analyse available undrawn commitment balance to ensure utilisation is in line with facility agreement terms
- Prepare business requests and perform system upgrade testing
- Calculate, process and reconcile commitment/utilisation fees and charges
- Actively follow up with agents/customers on missing payments
- Liaise with Financial Markets department regarding funding requirements and communicate fund movements promptly to the Clearing and Payments department
- Liaise with agents and advise relationship managers on any system issues affecting their respective facilities
- Process and accurately book all core loan transactions, including drawdowns, rollovers, repayments and rate fixings for agency, syndication, and bilateral facilities
- Process fund receipts and payments using GUPP, SWIFTMS and WBIFN systems
- Reconcile and process commitment/utilisation fees and charges as well as follow up on missing payments from agents/customers
- Reconcile journal entries for transactions balancing via relevant systems
- Review and analyse legal and loan documents and approvals for new and existing agency, syndication and bilateral facilities
- Provide administrative support when required
Requirements
- Degree educated in Business, Finance, Accounting, Mathematics or other relevant subject
- Experience in an operations, administrative, or back office support role
- Knowledge of syndicated loans and bilateral products is a plus
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficient in MS Office (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Attention to detail
- Commercial awareness
- Highly organised and able to work in a fast paced environment
- Team player with ability to work independently
