London Trading Centre is an extension of the Head Office's Global Markets Department trading platform that provides clients with broader coverage in foreign exchange, derivatives, commodities and fixed income trading. The G10 FX Trader – Mandarin Speaking role delivers FX and CNH pricing, market making and trading services to Bank of China’s branches and external counterparties. This is a full‑time permanent position.
Responsibilities
- Provide FX/CNH pricing, market making and trading services for FX products to the Bank’s branches.
- Monitor the Bank’s internal channel systems for FX business and manage client transaction flows through these systems to ensure efficient and accurate processing.
- Manage FX positions within the Bank’s risk guidelines, contributing to the growth and profitability of the business.
- Engage with Bank of China’s network and provide trading and related services to clients.
- Liaise with relevant stakeholders internally or externally to resolve any issues related to FX trading.
- Monitor technological, regulatory and other developments to keep the Bank’s execution process compliant and aligned with best industry practices.
- Review and complete relevant administrative documentation such as daily and monthly trade reports.
- Cover other traders as required.
Qualifications
- Degree in Finance, Banking, Economics or a related subject.
- Experience trading FX products, pricing and quoting corporate and FI flows, and managing market risk.
- Proven experience in managing e‑trading platforms as a market maker.
- Knowledge of FX products including spot, swap, outright, NDF and options.
- Understanding of portfolio management and risk management principles.
- Knowledge of e‑trading algorithms.
- Good understanding of macroeconomic fundamentals, market drivers and economic forecasts.
- Excellent English and Mandarin communication skills.
- Commercial awareness and high organisational ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
- Team player with excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high‑quality results.
