We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Windows System Administrator to lead the development and implementation of standardized, automated processes supporting infrastructure transformation and migration initiatives for our client based in the financial sector. The role involves sanitizing and hardening infrastructure to meet security requirements, ensuring the safe removal of proprietary information, and supporting secure and compliant data migrations to third-party environments.

This position requires availability during both weekdays and weekends to support business-critical migration windows.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain automation scripts and tools for the phased removal and optional restoration of specific software, configurations, and files.
  • Audit operating systems and installed software to provide compliance evidence to security teams.
  • Analyze and monitor system logs and security alerts to identify and remediate vulnerabilities.
  • Act as a consultant on Cyber Security issues, collaborating closely with security teams.
  • Provide technical guidance to application and infrastructure teams during complex projects (e.g., storage migrations).
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure secure, efficient, and seamless migration of infrastructure components.
  • Translate business and functional requirements into detailed technical specifications.
  • Proactively identify and resolve technical problems to maintain high levels of system availability and customer satisfaction.
  • Participate in project calls and stakeholder meetings to provide technical insights and updates.
Required Skills and Experience:
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Windows Operating Systems, including Microsoft Cluster environments, preferably in financial or regulated industries.
  • Proficiency with DevOps tools and automation frameworks such as Ansible, Jenkins, or Puppet.
  • Skilled in Python and Shell scripting for infrastructure and data management automation.
  • Solid knowledge of VMware, virtualization technologies, and hypervisors.
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, port management, and firewall configurations.
  • Experience with API development and integration, including tools like Mulesoft and Postman.
  • Experience with infrastructure configuration and integration using Ansible playbooks and related technologies.
Nice-to-Have Skills and Certifications:
  • Familiarity with Git for version control and code management.
  • Experience working in Agile environments and participating in Agile ceremonies.
  • Knowledge of SCCM/MECM (System Center Configuration Manager / Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager).
