We are looking to recruit a Vice President within our Market Data, Data & Analytics group. The primary focus of this role will be related to the management of inbound and outbound data used to support Tradeweb's electronic trading platform and its data products. In this role, the Data Analyst will be involved with the onboarding and review process related to new and existing reference data used to populate Tradeweb's Security Master Data. The VP will also be responsible for maintaining and documenting quality checks on data products. The data will cover a broad array of financial markets and securities.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Update, automate, and document current data processes.
  • Implement data requests to fulfill business requirements.
  • Analyze and test new and existing data sets.
  • Write specifications around data extraction, transformation, and mapping.
  • Day-to-day operational work; quality checks, daily tests, internal client queries.
  • Manage headcount in UK.
  • Initially supervise headcount in India with the opportunity to manage offshore headcount in the future.
  • Manage and ensure timely onboarding of new acquisitions into the corporate data ecosystem, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams including Data Platform, Sales, Finance, and internal stakeholders.
  • Identify areas for data quality improvement and collaborate with stakeholders to implement procedures or improvements to resolve data quality issues.
  • Work closely with other team members and cross-functional teams to support data management projects and initiatives.
  • Clearly and concisely document requirements for each project, working closely with stakeholders to ensure alignment and understanding.
  • Evaluate information from multiple sources, reconcile discrepancies, and determine the best path forward for data management initiatives.
  • Execute changes to master data following established processes, including creation, modification, activation/deactivation, and other necessary adjustments.
  • Assist in infrastructure and application onboarding during team wide growth and transformation initiatives.
  • Assist in training or supervising team members across various locations when appropriate.

Qualifications:

  • Strong academic record, including a relevant degree (Finance/Computer Science/Mathematics/Technology).
  • Passion for data analysis with emphasis on financial markets reference data.
  • Strong data analysis skills with an emphasis on data quality.
  • Advanced SQL coding skill to handle data in relational databases.
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, logical and lookup functions, etc.).
  • Experience with Python for data manipulation.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to coordinate projects with business and technical stakeholders, comfortable working with a global cross-functional team.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects with shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience managing and maintaining security/issuer level reference data across various asset classes preferred.
  • Experience with Market Data Management applications preferred.
  • Experience with third party data vendors such as Refinitiv, ICE and Bloomberg a plus.
  • 5-7 years’ experience within a security master or reference data team revolving around a variety of asset classes.
  • 3-5 years’ supervising or managing onshore and offshore team members.
  • Experience and familiarity with a variety of financial instruments and products including fixed income, equity, derivative and swap asset classes.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of financial markets data, coupled with analytical and problem-solving skills to distill large amounts of information into actionable insights.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively, with a high degree of attention to detail and demonstrated decision-making ability.
  • Highly motivated leader adept at multi-tasking, prioritizing effectively and implementing a sense of urgency where appropriate.
