We are seeking an experienced Test Equipment Architect specialising in the System Design of Test Equipment (TE) for missile and missile sub systems, plus occasionally missile or weapon system simulators. The role is intended for applicants who have extensive experience of working with, and developing Test Systems.

Working within the established TE Architecture team, you'll be advising the customer; providing guidance on the Test Equipment Requirements; disseminating the requirement into a system design (by producing an Architecture Design Document) and working to ensure the developed test system meets its system requirements. You should be able to act as an authority on test equipment aspects to the design teams and the project.

You will also have the opportunity to get involved with continuous improvement activities and the development of new technologies through the IRAD process, and potentially influence our Test Equipment product line (ATENA).

What we’re looking for from you:

  • Experience of Test Equipment Design, obtained over multiple projects
  • Knowledge of Test Equipment Software, or software techniques and methods
  • Knowledge of Systems Engineering approaches, ability to spot poor requirements
  • Knowledge of Design For Test aspects, and able to guide and inform the Test Architects/IVLs
  • General knowledge of, and preferably a specialism in one area of the following: Metrology, RF, Digital or Analogue Design, Power electronics, computing, Cyber or FPGA design.
