Are you looking to join an expanding Systems/ Network engineering team for a global fintech client? There has been significant investment into growing the Systems engineering team and this is an amazing opportunity to be a part of something special!

About the Systems Engineer role:

You will be responsible for network and systems architecture, design, administration, documentation, configuration, optimization, and troubleshooting. You will participate in the ongoing support of system/network assets using current and emerging technologies.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate, test, develop, and implement complex technical solutions to address various business problems. This includes hardware, software, configuration standards, and creating solutions focused on driving business value.
  • Responsible for supporting enterprise systems infrastructure, including but not limited to compute, storage, virtualization, cloud, and backup assets.
  • Oversees proactive grooming, life cycle management, upgrades, capacity management, and high priority incident management.
  • Manages highly visible/risky changes and ensures infrastructure is running efficiently.
  • Acts as TOps liaison to peers in Engineering, Architecture, Information Security, and Production Support.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in Windows/Linux/Cloud environments.
  • Technical expertise and hands-on with Windows Server administration, Linux Server administration, Active Directory, Exchange, IIS, DHCP, DNS, etc.
  • Bash/PowerShell/Perl/Python or other scripting.
  • Knowledge and experience with enterprise VMWare virtualization technologies.
  • Experience managing block and file protocols across SAN/NAS-based storage arrays.
  • Knowledge of LAN, Routing, Switching, IP Networking, VPN technologies, DNS, VLANs, and Layer 2/3 protocols.
  • Experience managing Antivirus/Spyware, spam reduction, and patch management.
  • VMware, Windows Server, Active Directory, and Linux Server experience required.
  • Automation / Infrastructure as Code (Ansible, Terraform, etc) experience required.
