Currently supporting a highly established FinTech Company who are currently looking for a number of \’Senior Kafka Platform Engineers\’ to add to their team.This client offers that get stuck in start-up vibe, but with the resources and backing of a major scale-up.Job Titles: Senior Kafka Platform EngineerSalary: Up to £110,000Location: London (3 Days Onsite)Industry: Software/Financial (FinTech)What You\’ll Do:Own our Kafka clusters, including their deployment, scaling, and ongoing maintenance in Kubernetes environments.Implement and manage Kafka Connectors and MirrorMaker2 for seamless data integration.Automate Kafka lifecycle processes to enhance efficiency and reliability.Enforce and enhance Kafka security, including SSL, SASL, and ACLs.Monitor system health and troubleshoot complex Kafka issues, ensuring optimal performance and data consistency.Contribute to the evolution of our internal developer platform.Provide expert support to development teams for all Kafka-related needs.Assist with Kubernetes platform maintenance and developer onboarding (up to one day a week).What You Bring:Proven experience managing Kafka in production, high-throughput environments.Deep understanding of MirrorMaker2 and Kafka Connectors.Hands-on experience with Kubernetes operators and CRDs, especially Strimzi.Strong knowledge of Kafka security configurations and replication mechanisms.Expertise in Kafka performance tuning, latency reduction, and JVM optimization.Solid network diagnostics skills.
