A reputable tech scale-up, which is part of a renowned group of data/ tech companies, are hiring for a Senior Data Engineer to join their product team! You will be working in a strong team of other top data professionals, working on a modern tech stack and being involved in building impactful data products, whilst taking leadership on some key projects.

Your responsibilities as a Senior Data Engineer will include, but not be limited to:

  • Engage with the wider data engineering product team to build interesting data products for both stakeholders & consumers whilst contributing to technical decision-making.
  • Write robust, scalable and testable code whilst providing code reviews.
  • Build, design, maintain and optimise data pipelines.
  • Lead & mentor junior engineers on projects, demonstrate technical leadership skills and support their personal development.
  • Collaborate with other teams and internal stakeholders to deliver projects and communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

A successful Senior Data Engineer will have the following:

  • Minimum of Bachelors’ degree in STEM subject.
  • Min. 5 years commercial experience as a Data Engineer, as well as experience leading projects or teams.
  • Must have experience working with Databricks & Terraform.
  • Commercial experience using AWS or Azure Cloud Platforms.
