International services business are looking for a Privacy & Commercial Counsel to join them on a fixed-term contract basis for six months to cover a period of high workflow. The position can be on a fully remote basis (although there is the option to work in the Central London offices should you wish). You must be based, and have the right to work, in the UK. You must be available to start immediately.

Reporting into the General Counsel, you will play an integral role in the day-to-day activities of the Legal function including:

  • Acting as the key point of contact with data privacy queries across the business
  • Drafting, negotiating and advising on data privacy clauses for a wide range of commercial agreements
  • Working closely with teams across the business including procurement, marketing and sales to advise on minimising privacy risk incidents
  • Advising on the handling of DSARs
  • Getting involved in matters away from data privacy, in particular advising on contracts relating to platforms, IP licences, T&Cs, SLAs and partnerships

You must be at least 7 years’ PQE and having spent at least four years post-qualification at a nationally-recognised law firm. You will possess extensive data privacy experience but also have a background in general commercial contracts. You will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with constantly evolving priorities.
