They’ve just secured a major long term framework with Severn Trent, and we’re looking to bring in a Principal Civil Engineer to support delivery from their Derby office.If you’ve got infrastructure design experience and want to work on complex, technically interesting projects with strong career progression — this is well worth a look.The RoleYou’ll be a key part of the regional civils team, leading and delivering design packages for water and wastewater treatment projects. Responsibilities include:Producing and overseeing civil designs that are practical, cost-effective, and buildableCoordinating across internal and external design disciplinesSupporting proposal teams with technical input and design estimatesDeveloping and maintaining design standards and processesEnsuring compliance with CDM 2015, health & safety, and environmental regulationsMentoring and supporting junior engineersContributing to a positive, client-focused cultureWhat They’re Looking ForKey experience:Strong background in civil/infrastructure designSector experience in water, highways, energy, rail, or similarSolid knowledge of structures, hydraulics, materials, and geotechnicsFamiliar with CDM 2015, CESWI, BS, WIMES (or similar standards)Skilled in producing rationalised and efficient layoutsComfortable leading design teams and managing workloadRelevant degree or HND in Civil EngineeringChartered or working toward chartership (ICE or equivalent)UK driving licencePackage & BenefitsCompetitive salary + car or allowance25 days holiday + bank holidays (option to buy more)Enhanced pension schemePrivate medical, health cover, life assuranceHybrid working setupPerks portal – discounts, Cycle to Work, Kids Pass, etc.
