Homecare Pharmacist – Part-Time (2 Days/Week)

Location: National Distribution Centre (NDC)

Hours: 15 hours/week – Wednesdays & Thursdays, 14:00–22:00

Are you a detail-oriented pharmacist looking for a flexible, part-time role in a high-impact healthcare environment? Our client is seeking a Homecare Pharmacist to join our pharmacy team at the NDC, ensuring safe, accurate, and compliant dispensing and distribution of medicines to patients receiving homecare services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Physically check prescriptions and orders (PD, HHD, and Nutrition MCB) containing Prescription Only Medicines (POM), Pharmacy medicines (P), and ancillary items prior to dispatch.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and professional standards, including:
  • General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
  • Royal Pharmaceutical Society (RPS)
  • Pharmacy Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
  • Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
  • Good Warehousing Practices (GWP)
  • Corporate Quality Manual & ISO standards
  • Uphold governance and clinical standards in accordance with RPS homecare service guidelines.
  • Act as Responsible Pharmacist (RP) when designated by the Lead or Superintendent Pharmacist.
  • Provide training and advice across business functions on pharmacy and legal requirements.
  • Supervise locum pharmacists, pharmacy checkers, warehouse staff, and customer service teams involved in order processing and deliveries.
