About the Role:
We are delighted to be recruiting for an experienced Operations Manager on behalf of a leading business within the manufacturing and construction products sector. This is an exciting leadership opportunity for a dynamic operations professional to oversee production, warehousing, maintenance, and tooling operations, driving efficiency, safety, and performance across the site.
As Operations Manager, you will be responsible for delivering a customer-focused service, optimising site performance, and supporting commercial growth plans. You will lead a large, multidisciplinary team, driving operational strategies, continuous improvement initiatives, and talent development within a busy manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage production, warehouse, toolroom, and maintenance functions across the business unit.
- Ensure a culture of continuous improvement with safety as the number one priority.
- Develop and implement operational strategies aligned to customer service excellence, product reliability, and availability.
- Track and monitor KPIs across safety, quality, cost, delivery, and efficiency, and drive improvement initiatives to achieve operational goals.
- Proactively maintain and improve capital equipment performance, driving sustainable asset management.
- Lead the site’s S&OP (Sales and Operations Planning) process in partnership with commercial and supply chain teams.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on the implementation of digital site solutions.
- Provide strong leadership, developing and nurturing talent to maximise team effectiveness.
- Proactively resolve operational, quality, and maintenance issues to prevent delays and reduce costs.
- Align operational objectives with broader commercial growth strategies.

Candidate Profile:
- Previous experience in a senior operations, manufacturing, or production management role within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated experience in continuous improvement methodologies.
