Who we are
CHAMP Cargosystems is building systems that power the business of cargo airlines all over the world providing solutions for the whole cargo management chain including reservation and booking management, revenue, handling & customs declaration and balancing the weight of the cargo inside the plane.
What we do
We are currently in the process of building the next generation of cargo management applications using modern and widely used technologies and we are looking for motivated people to join our team of interdisciplinary developers.
What we currently use
- We build backend services with Java, Spring Boot, Web Services and MongoDB.
- We integrate with existing core Java Cargo applications via REST APIs.
- We build frontends with Angular and Ionic framework for mobile apps.
- We deploy to Linux servers, private datacentres, AWS, using Ansible & Maven.
- We do continuous integration with Gitlab/Bamboo.
- We use Scrum to organise ourselves.
What we expect from you
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Equivalent.
- Proven experience as a MongoDB DBA or similar role (4+ years recommended).
- Strong understanding of MongoDB architecture, including sharding, replication, and indexing.
- Hands-on experience with MongoDB Atlas and/or self-managed MongoDB clusters.
- Proficiency with Linux systems and shell scripting.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools and performance tuning techniques.
- Experience with backup and disaster recovery processes.
What we require from you
- Minimum 2 years of proven experience with Mongo Atlas.
- Certifications with MongoDB to support the skills and knowledge in MongoDB are highly appreciated.
- Experience with Mongo replica sets, sharding clusters and backup strategies.
- Experience with disaster recovery plans is a plus.
- Experienced in using the following tools – Git, SVN, Maven and Ansible.
- Proven experience working with cloud platforms, VM management in the cloud (preferable AWS).
- Understanding of CI/CD and knowledge of Gitlab & Bamboo tools.
- Hands-on experience in use and administration of Linux OS.
- Be a proactive person and oriented to listen to the problems the team might have and offer guidance and help when the team needs.
- Understanding in the following framework or technology is a plus: Spring Boot, REST API, Angular.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Good command of English language is a must.
