ROLE- Mechanical Design EngineerTERM- PermanentLOCATION – WalsallSALARY- £30,000 – £45,000 (Dependant on experience)My client delivers bespoke machinery for a variety of sectors. They are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team in Walsall on a permanent basis.The Mechanical Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:HNC / HND / BTEC / NVQ / Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or similarPrevious experience working within the Machinery or Pharmaceutical sectorsBe proficient using 3D CAD software such as Inventor, SolidWorks, Creo etc.Experience within Special Purpose Machinery environmentsGood theoretical mechanical engineering knowledge of core principles and tight tolerancesExcellent communication skills both verbal and writtenProficient using MS OfficeExcellent organisational skills and time management skillsHave the ability to work well alone as well as part of a small multi-disciplinary teamThe Mechanical Design Engineer role will involve:Using CAD for concept design and producing technical drawingsLiaising with manufacturing providersBeing involved in final assembly of productsCreating the required documentation for design as well as project reports / plansUpdating 3D models and drawingsInputting parts into the MRP system creating BOMsChecking drawings for sign offWorking in a small multi-disciplinary team on varied projectsIf you are interested in this position, please apply with an up to date CV as soon as possible.For more information about this role please apply, or email Tom O\’Reilly on toreilly@pg-rec.com who will be able to provide more details on the opportunity.
