Mechanical Construction ManagerBuilding Services Contractor Freelance (CIS or Limited)Central LondonA leading M&E Contractor known for delivering high-spec, technically complex projects across the UK and Europe—spanning data centres, life sciences, commercial developments, and education—is looking for a Mechanical Construction Manager. This role is to support delivery of a major Commercial project based in Kings Cross, set to complete by October 2026.Key Responsibilities:Oversee the mechanical installation and commissioning across the project, ensuring adherence to all technical, safety, and quality standardsCoordinate with consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure seamless project deliveryTake responsibility for the management of all mechanical aspects of the project, from early design through to final handoverMonitor and enforce health and safety requirements across the siteEnsure that all work is completed on time, within budget, and in line with regulatory standardsAct as the key point of contact for mechanical issues and ensure effective problem-solving throughout the projectPrepare reports and attend regular meetings with senior stakeholdersRequirements:Previous experience in a similar role, ideally within healthcare, Pharmaceuticals or large-scale projectsStrong technical knowledge of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and public healthProven ability to manage and mentor a team of engineers and subcontractorsExcellent project management, communication, and problem-solving skillsSMSTS, CSCS (black or gold), and ideally First Aid certificationsFor more information, please e-mail Megan.Field@peoplegroup.com
