MacGregor Black is partnering with a leading global sports brand in the search for a Marketing Director. This is a permanent role based in Manchester. This pivotal role will shape the brand’s direction, drive market impact, and ensure a consistent and compelling brand experience across all consumer touchpoints.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Define and lead the brand strategy, ensuring a clear, authentic identity that connects with core consumer groups across key sporting markets.
  • Build and maintain a distinctive brand framework, including purpose, tone of voice, visual identity, and messaging architecture.
  • Lead the creation of seasonal campaigns and storytelling platforms that build emotional connection, drive brand equity, and differentiate in a competitive sports landscape.
  • Manage internal and external creative partners to deliver world-class assets that elevate brand perception and drive awareness.
  • Develop and lead brand partnerships with athletes, ambassadors, federations, and key cultural voices to strengthen authenticity and reach.
  • Partner with product, retail, and digital teams to ensure brand strategy is reflected in consumer journeys, launches, and merchandising.
  • Leverage insights and analytics to measure brand health, track campaign performance, and guide strategic decisions.
  • Champion brand consistency and excellence across all touchpoints, from global initiatives to regional execution.
What We're Looking For:
  • Proven experience in a Marketing Director or Head of Marketing role within a sport, performance, or lifestyle brand.
  • Strong background in brand development, positioning, and storytelling.
  • Experience building brands internationally, with deep consumer understanding across multiple markets.
  • Demonstrated leadership in managing creative teams, external agencies, and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Passion for sport, culture, and innovation with a consumer-first mindset.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to inspire and influence at all levels.
