An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Technical Manager to join a growing organisation. This role is critical in ensuring the operational readiness and technical excellence of a fleet of Crew Transfer Vessels (CTVs), supporting safe and efficient operations in challenging marine environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the technical management of vessels, including maintenance, defect resolution, and compliance with statutory regulations
  • Lead and support a team of shore-based engineers and technical staff
  • Liaise with Flag Administrations, Class Societies, and external contractors
  • Conduct vessel visits, audits, and shipyard inspections
  • Manage PMS systems, spare parts inventory, and technical budgets
  • Support new build projects and monitor green propulsion initiatives
  • Participate in emergency response and technical investigations

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Degree or diploma in Marine or Mechanical Engineering (or working towards one)
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in technical ship management or marine engineering
  • Strong understanding of marine systems and regulatory compliance (ISM, SOLAS, MARPOL)
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Experience with Caterpillar engines and PMS systems preferred
  • NEBOSH or equivalent HSE qualification desirable
