A private equity-backed business operating in the TMT sector is seeking a seasoned Head of M&A to lead their acquisitive growth strategy. With significant capital to deploy and a clearly defined value creation plan, the business is entering an exciting next phase of buy-and-build activity across Europe.
The Role
Reporting into the CFO, and working closely with the CEO and wider C-suite, the Head of M&A will be responsible for shaping strategy and leading the full M&A lifecycle - from origination and commercial assessment through to execution and integration. This is a high-impact, senior leadership role in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Define M&A strategy in collaboration with executive leadership
- Identify, evaluate, and prioritise acquisition targets aligned to the investment thesis
- Own end-to-end deal execution
- Build and manage a pipeline of acquisition opportunities, leveraging industry networks and advisors
- Support post-deal integration planning and execution to ensure value capture
- Present regularly to the Board and PE sponsor on progress and performance
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in M&A, with a strong track record of executed transactions
- Previous M&A role within a private equity-backed business
- Background in investment banking or ACA-qualified (equivalent)
- Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills
