Scarsdale Vets Pride Park, Derby is looking for an Emergency OOH Veterinary Surgeon to join their team on a 9 month fixed term contract. This role is a unique opportunity to see a diverse and steady case load as we cover OOH for our own practices and a number of surrounding practices. If you enjoy ECC and the challenge of non-routine cases then this role could be exactly what you are looking for.
We have an excellent range of facilities and equipment which contribute to a high standard of patient care. Inpatient care will be looking after the existing inpatients and undertaking procedures/emergency surgery as required e.g., foreign body removal, GDV, C- Section, dressing changes. You will solely be based at our Pride Park hospital, supported by an excellent nursing team, with support from a referral intern overnight. This is a unique way of working supporting a great work/life balance which is perfect for someone looking to increase their ECC experience.
The main hospital is based at Pride Park in Derby and is home to a busy first opinion practice, a multidisciplinary referral service and an out-of-hours service. We have 8 practice sites in addition to the hospital. We have a talented and enthusiastic experienced team of veterinary surgeons supported by an exceptional team of Registered Veterinary Nurses, Veterinary Care Assistants and Client Care Advisors. All our stand-alone practices are RCVS approved.
Our main hospital is well equipped with a CT scanner, MRI, Advanced Ultrasound, Endoscopy, Digital X-ray, Dental radiography, and multiple surgical suites, as well as an onsite hydrotherapy & rehabilitation centre and benefits from a multi-disciplinary specialist led referral service.
