eFX Developer (London Area)

Overview: We’re hiring Senior Core Java Developers for a greenfield eFX trading platform build-out. The team is focused on ultra-low latency architecture (sub-millisecond) and is looking for engineers who understand performance at the microsecond level. This is a front-office role building execution services, market connectivity, and pricing engines from scratch.Key Responsibilities:Design and build ultra-low latency components for pricing, execution, and market data distribution.Collaborate with Traders and Quants to optimise end-to-end performance.Lead development of critical path systems including market gateways, matching engines, and order handlers.Tech Stack & Requirements:Core Java (11+), with expertise in low-level programming: threading, memory management, lock-free design.Proven experience with low-latency techniques:Zero GC / off-heap memoryBusy-spin / lock-free queuesFalse sharing avoidanceGC tuning and performance profiling (JMH, JFR, GC logs, etc.)Experience building systems with sub-millisecond latency targets.Strong exposure to low-latency messaging technologies (e.g. Aeron, Chronicle Queue, SBE, UDP multicast).Market connectivity (e.g. FIX, exchange/broker APIs) experience.
