This isn’t your average recruitment job. At Teaching Personnel, we’re looking for ambitious, driven individuals to join our Exeter team in a role that blends sales, recruitment, and education into something genuinely impactful. As the UK’s market-leading education recruitment agency, we don’t just match educators to jobs - we drive business, build long-term partnerships with schools, and create opportunities that transform lives. This role is fast-paced, sales-targeted, and hands-on - and we need people who can thrive under pressure, deliver results, and build exceptional client relationships both in person and over the phone.

Whether you come from agency recruitment, B2B/B2C sales, or a high-performance target-led environment, if you’re confident in a consultative sales role and hungry to succeed, we want to hear from you.

What You’ll Need

  • Full UK Driving Licence and access to your own vehicle - regular school visits (minimum once per week) are an essential part of the role; fuel is reimbursed on the mile.
  • Sales experience - ideally from agency recruitment, B2B, or B2C sales backgrounds but we will consider proven sales ability that is transferrable into this role.
  • Target-driven mindset - you’ll thrive in a high-performance culture and be motivated by hitting goals and making an impact.
  • Resilience and tenacity - recruitment is challenging, so we need people who are proactive, solution-focused, and never afraid to pick up the phone and be present in person to meet your clients and build great lasting partnerships.
  • People Centricity - you’ll need to build rapport quickly, whether with a headteacher, senior stakeholder or newly qualified teachers across the education domain.
  • Balance Reactivity with Proactivity - knowing when to be reactive thinking fast on your feet to provide immediate solutions, equally be able to proactively provide long term strategies and solutions to the challenges you may encounter in the recruitment market.

What’s in it for you?

  • Uncapped Commission - earn more as you deliver results.
  • Generous Holiday Allowance - 28 days to start, rising to 33 with service, plus bank holidays.
  • Incentives & Rewards - from cash bonuses and prize draws to annual award nights and team events.
  • Top-Class Training - ongoing mentoring and structured development to help you level up.
  • Career Progression - a clear route to promotion and personal growth within the UK’s top education recruiter.
  • Flexible Benefits - including health cash plans, virtual GP access, cycle to work schemes, and more.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Winning business - making outbound sales calls, pitching services, and meeting schools in your local area regularly delivering an exceptional service to both educators and education institutions.
  • Building relationships - with both schools and educators, becoming a trusted recruitment partner establishing yourself as a reliable and integral part of your clients’ recruitment operations and needs.
  • Sourcing talent - finding, vetting, and matching the right educators to the right schools; we change lives daily - the right educator can change the most important lives - the children and youth we deliver education service to.
  • Managing a desk - driving your own performance by hitting revenue, placement, and activity targets building your commercial and operational acumen in the process whilst earning a highly attractive amount in commission for your hard work.
  • Making an impact - supporting schools with the staff they need to make a real difference in classrooms changing the lives and outcomes of many.

Is This You?

You’ve worked in a sales or recruitment environment and loved the buzz of hitting targets and have a proven track record of doing so which can be demonstrated throughout the interview process? You’re confident, persuasive, and highly motivated by results. You’re ready to build a career, not just do a job - and you’re looking for a company that will invest in you as you grow. You have your own car and enjoy being out in the field meeting clients face to face on occasion.
