Contract DSP Firmware Engineer Satellite 5G Payloads | 3 Months | Outside IR35 | HybridAn innovative player in the space technology sector is expanding its UK team and seeking an experienced DSP Firmware Engineer to help build the next generation of satellite-based 5G communications systems. The RoleWork within a multi-disciplinary engineering team, translating complex mathematical models and MATLAB simulations into firmware implementations using FPGAs and vector processors. Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and implement DSP algorithms for satellite 5G payloadsTranslate and optimise existing simulations into FPGA hardwareCollaborate with engineers on system integration and adjacent functionsSupport system documentation, testing, and delivery of a production-ready platform What We’re Looking ForProven experience in signal processing, DSP firmware development, and/or communications systemsProficiency with MATLAB, C/C++, VHDL/Verilog, and FPGA development environmentsStrong understanding of multirate DSP, physical layer communications, and real-time signal implementationComfortable unpacking maths-heavy simulations and translating them into working codeTelecoms or space/satellite sector experience highly desirable The DetailsDuration: 3-month contract with strong potential for extensionHybrid: 3 days a week on-site in OxfordshireStart: ASAP, but able to wait up to 1 month notice periodIf this sounds like you, please apply now!
