Your team Pictet Alternative Advisors (PAA) is a leading alternative investment specialist and wholly owned subsidiary of the Pictet Group, with expertise in hedge funds, private equity and global real estate. With teams based globally, the PAA teams construct, manage and advise on portfolios of alternative investment solutions for institutional and private clients. The Group has strong development ambitions for PAA for the coming years, notably to expand its product offering to include additional asset classes and to further develop its institutional client base.

You will be part of a team of 20 professionals dedicated to Pictet’s pan-European focused Direct Real Estate franchise launched in 2019 with Elevation Fund I, a EUR 700 million value add fund. Elevation Fund II launched in 2023 and a Core Plus fund, which currently has capital under management of approx. EUR 185 million, launched in 2021. The team is split between London, where the core investment and asset management teams are located, Geneva, where investment legal and investor relations sit, Berlin, Stockholm and Madrid, where our head of regions are located. In addition, fund support functions such as fund administration, compliance and fund legal sit in Luxembourg.

As we launch Fund II, we are in search of highly driven individuals to join our investment team in London.

Your role

  • Lead direct real estate acquisition process: sourcing new investment opportunities, reviewing underwriting / modelling investments, preparing documents required for internal Investment Committee approval, carrying out due diligence (commercial, technical, legal, structuring, tax), agreeing terms with various counterparties.
  • Oversee asset and portfolio management process: managing a multi-sector, pan-European portfolio of direct real estate investments, engaging with operating partners to drive investment performance, assisting in preparation of quarterly reporting.
  • Manage disposal and refinancing processes: liaising with operating partners, brokers, lenders and prospective buyers to successfully dispose of portfolio assets, evaluating performance impact of sales / refinancings.
  • Contribute to fundraising process: preparing ad-hoc materials on existing and pipeline investments.

Your profile

  • University degree in Finance, Economics or Accounting, Engineering, or an equivalent qualification from a top tier university.
  • Up to 6 years of experience in Real Estate acquisitions, acquired either through a Value Add Fund or an Operating Partner.
  • Prior exposure to southern Europe, continental Europe and/or the Nordics will be an asset.
  • Proven solid modelling and analytical skills acquired in demanding working environments.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, and a natural ability to work with a team across various locations.
  • Excellent command of English required completed with another European language: Spanish, Italian, Swedish, Norwegian, German will be an asset.
