We have a new opportunity to be part of our Composites Design team in the role of Composite Design Engineer.Join our world-class engineering team at the heart of Formula 1 innovation. As a Composite Design Engineer, you’ll play a critical role in delivering high-performance composite components across the full design lifecycle—from concept through to testing and development. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow and refine your design expertise within a high-performance F1 environment.You will be responsible for:Design and develop composite assemblies, including associated jigs, tooling, and patterns.Produce detailed 3D surfacing and define laminate specifications.Support the assembly, testing, and development of components.Resolve design challenges arising during validation and development.Collaborate across teams to refine concepts and optimise performance.Contribute to technical discussions and continuous improvement initiatives.Maintain current knowledge of industry best practices and emerging technologies.What you will need to be successful in this role:A degree (or equivalent experience) in composites or mechanical engineering.Proven experience designing complex composite assemblies.Proficiency in 3D CAD (ideally CATIA/3DX), including surfacing and detailed design.Strong knowledge of composite manufacturing methods, particularly pre-preg.Experience in motorsport or high-performance engineering (desirable).Creative problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail.Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.Calm under pressure with strong organisational skills and adaptability.Commitment to Health & Safety and quality standards.This is a full-time office-based role based at our campus in Silverstone, with additional requirement to travel to other locations where necessary.Embark on a journey with the Aston Martin Aramco Formula Oneâ„¢ Team to reshape history at our cutting-edge, sustainable campus in Northamptonshire.
