My client is a world-leading independent production and distribution group that produces some of the most popular TV programmes in the world. They are looking for a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer who will support circa 30 internal companies with approximately 1,500 users and hundreds of freelancers. You will operate in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment, working for a fun organisation with a diversity-focused and dress-down culture based in the Holborn / Tottenham Court Road location. The role is on a hybrid model with non-negotiable in-office requirements, currently every Tuesday.

You will work alongside 3 other senior engineers and 2 project-based engineers reporting to the IT Manager. This is a unique opportunity as you will be a ‘modern Windows engineer’ since our client is hosting 95% of their infrastructure in AWS. You will be involved in project work as well as dealing with 3rd line support tickets, with a separate 1st / 2nd line support team handling those tickets.

You will be working with the infrastructure team that’s predominantly cloud-based, in a Windows/Microsoft environment inside the AWS ecosystem. Everything is integrated using Terraform, providing great tooling at work.

Non-negotiable requirements:
  • AWS – solid experience is an absolute must
  • Okta & Okta Workflows
  • Terraform
Other key technologies you will be working on heavily:
  • Windows Server (2016-22) admin skills
  • Office 365 / SharePoint
  • Scripting (Python used)
Projects:
  • Migrating the last on-prem servers into AWS/O365, mainly file servers that need to be migrated and architected into the AWS estate.
  • Good O365 / SharePoint knowledge will be really helpful for this.
  • Experience with tools like AvePoint, ManageEngine etc will be beneficial for the Windows = AWS/SharePoint migrations.
  • The eventual goal is to migrate all infrastructure into Lambda.
Core duties:
  • Building Windows VMs, EC2 or AWS and troubleshooting issues.
  • Managing around 100 Windows VMs over 6 different accounts using AppStream and RDS for databases in an EC2 environment of over 100 services.
  • Handling S3 backups and storage.
  • Utilising FSX cloud storage.
  • Working extensively with Okta and Okta Workflows, including automation projects.
  • Upgrading Windows servers.
  • Facilitating easy onboarding for newly acquired businesses.
  • Implementing security access processes.

There’s no end of projects, and you will be working with a truly awesome team that you’ll enjoy going to work with each day!

Benefits:
  • Hybrid working – being in the office on Tuesdays is essential
  • 25 Days' holiday
  • Health care
  • Pension Contribution
  • Free fresh fruit and office snacks
  • Training opportunities with open access to Udemy

Apply ASAP if you would relish the opportunity to work in an exciting production environment alongside creative experts in the field.
