Given our size you\’ll have real autonomy and influence as you collaborate closely with a wide-ranging team of experts.Our office is a vibrant place to work, and we offer flexibility of office/homeworking due to our hybrid model.About the roleIn your role as Associate Director you will make a meaningful and valued contribution from the outset.This role will provide a great opportunity to support the Head of Property and Senior / Investment Directors with investment origination, execution and delivery of new investments together with supporting asset disposals across all property sectors within the UK portfolio.The individual will have a versatile skill set to originate, underwrite and execute new investments across multiple sectors and themes that align with the property strategy.What you will be doingAs a trusted part of the Private Markets you will:Lead origination of UK-focused investment opportunities aligned to strategic themesEvaluate and structure deals, managing due diligence and advisor engagementSupport formulation of investment strategy and identification of asset disposalsCollaborate with internal teams on tax, legal, compliance, and operational mattersPrepare and present Investment Committee papers with detailed analysis and recommendationsAssist with asset management plans and contribute to MSCI valuations and reportingPromote ESG, Net Zero Carbon and RPI goals within investment and asset management activityAbout youWe know that sometimes people can be put off applying for a job if they don\’t tick every box, if you\’re excited about working for us and have most of the skills or experience we\’re looking for, then please apply, regardless of whether you meet all the requirements outlined in this profile.To be successful in the role you will have:Undergraduate degree or equivalent with post-grad experience in investment or property advisoryStrong understanding of property investment, valuation, and asset managementProven track record in origination and execution, including SPVs and JVsFamiliarity with ESG and Net Zero Carbon integration in property projectsHigh competence across multiple asset classes and leasing mattersStrong leadership, communication, and negotiation skillsProactive, driven team player with ability to self-start and follow throughAt USS, every individual contributes to building a secure financial future for our members and their families.
