My client is looking for a Senior HRBP on an FTC (16 months) who is a strategic partner, supporting the overall people strategy to enhance business effectiveness and performance. This role is critical in driving business success through effective people strategies, talent management, organisational design, and culture development. The HRBP works closely with people leaders (reporting directly into the Head of HR) to influence and support change, ensure strong employee engagement, and maintain compliance with company policies and employment law.
The ideal candidate is a seasoned professional with strong people analytics skills, able to propose solutions and build trusted partnerships with key stakeholders, while also being comfortable operating in a hands-on manner. Candidates must have experience of working within retail or hospitality.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Head of HR to develop and implement a people strategy that is employee-centric.
- Serve as a trusted advisor, aligning HR initiatives with business goals and helping shape strategic decisions from a people perspective.
- Support business transformation efforts, including organisational design, workforce planning, and cultural evolution to foster a collaborative and inclusive workplace, while maintaining high performance.
- Lead or support change management initiatives to ensure the smooth adoption and integration of organisational changes.
- Partner with leaders and managers to build leadership capability and strengthen succession pipelines through coaching and targeted development plans.
- Drive comprehensive talent processes, including talent reviews, performance management, career development, and succession planning.
- Use HR data to identify workforce trends and provide data-driven insights and recommendations.
- Collaborate with other HRBPs across the UK business on annual employee relations, talent development, and learning & development initiatives.
- Work in partnership with the UK Employment Legal team to ensure HR policies are aligned with business needs and compliant with UK employment legislation; support audits and risk mitigation.
- Contribute to HR projects such as employee engagement strategies, DEI initiatives, university partnerships, and continuous improvement efforts.
- Compile, develop, and present monthly reports and HR metrics to manage the HR calendar, monitor trends, and guide resource planning.
What we are looking for:
- Extensive experience in senior HR roles, including talent management and development, employee engagement, and L&D.
- Proven track record of delivering people strategies aligned with short- and long-term business needs.
- Demonstrated success in implementing talent development initiatives and improving employee engagement.
- Strong knowledge of internal talent processes, assessments, and development tools.
- Ability to translate people data into actionable insights for evidence-based decision-making.
- Skilled at building strong business partnerships and influencing key stakeholders.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills.
- Experience working in a multicultural environment with a strong understanding of DEI.
- Strong proficiency in MS Office, HR systems (e.g. SAP, Visier), and assessment tools (PI, 360, EQ).
- Full professional proficiency in spoken and written English.
- CIPD Level 5 Diploma and BA degree preferred.
- Experience using Workday is desirable.
