A growing architecture practice in Oxford is looking for an experienced and proactive Studio Manager to oversee the smooth day-to-day running of the studio. Working closely with the Directors, this is a key role responsible for studio operations, finance, HR, and business support within a creative, collaborative environment.
The role
As Studio Manager, you’ll take ownership of the Oxford office and play a central role in shaping an efficient, welcoming and well-organised studio culture. Responsibilities include:
- Overseeing day-to-day studio operations, office administration, facilities and supplies
- Managing studio events, CPDs, training programmes and work experience placements
- Maintaining company records, subscriptions and compliance documentation
- Acting as the main point of contact for IT, printer and external support providers
- Managing invoicing, expenses and studio finance administration (Fresh Projects/Xero)
- Leading HR administration, recruitment processes and staff onboarding
- Setting up and overseeing project administration, documentation, timesheets and reporting
- Supporting marketing, social media and business development initiatives
- Reviewing and improving studio systems, processes and workflows
About you
- Proven experience in a studio, office or operations management role (creative or architectural practice experience highly desirable)
- Strong understanding of studio operations, finance and HR administration
- Highly organised, proactive and confident working autonomously
- Excellent communicator with strong attention to detail
- Comfortable using finance and admin software (Xero experience beneficial but not essential)
