What We’re Looking For

  • Qualified or Aspiring Arboricultural Professionals: You’ll have (or be working towards) a Level 6 qualification in a relevant subject, and ideally be a Qualified Professional Tree Inspector. Membership of a professional body (e.g. M.Arbor.A) is a plus.
  • Technical Know-How: You bring detailed knowledge of tree species, arboricultural principles, and experience applying these in line with legislation, policy, and best practice.
  • Strong Communicator: You’re confident engaging with clients, contractors, and colleagues—both in writing and in person.
  • Team Player and Self-Starter: You can work independently and as part of a multi‑disciplinary team, managing projects from concept to completion.
  • Digital Skills: You’re comfortable using specialist software (e.g. GIS, Confirm, Ezytreev) to record, analyse, and present data.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Delivering a wide range of arboricultural services: tree inventories, safety and risk surveys, pest and disease assessments, veteran tree surveys, BS5837 surveys, tree planting and management, and more.
  • Managing enquiries about trees and vegetation affecting the public highway, specifying works, and overseeing contractors.
  • Collecting, analysing, and presenting data and evidence (including for insurance claims and TPO enforcement).
  • Advising on projects of varying scale and complexity, and contributing to policies, plans, and training materials.
  • Supporting bids and managing low‑value contracts and projects.
  • Maintaining strong client relationships and helping drive continuous improvement.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to enhance service delivery and team performance.
