Sir Thomas Wharton Academy already has a strong team of professionals delivering high-quality learning in and out of the classroom who work together to achieve our Trust vision 'where every child, colleague and community feels a strong sense of belonging, pride and purpose. We strive to build an education system that delivers excellent outcomes and creates a lasting, positive impact on the communities we serve' - which underpins everything we do. Alongside academic excellence, our culture is built on care, encouragement, and meaningful enrichment. Our students are engaged, resilient, and take responsibility for their development, guided by a strong set of values that help them realise their full potential. If you feel you would like to be a part of that team and could make a valuable contribution to driving standards and performance to the next level, we would like to hear from you.

  • Coordinate support with external agencies and the school’s leadership and attendance teams.
  • Lead early intervention efforts in local primary schools to remove barriers and ease transition to STWA.
  • Deliver engaging family-focused support, including parenting workshops and outreach visits.
  • Act as a mentor and advocate, helping students stay engaged, achieve their potential, and feel supported.
  • Inspire, engage, and build positive relationships with both students and staff.
  • Exhibit a growth mindset, excellent work ethic, and a sense of humour.
  • Bring relevant knowledge and an understanding of our local and educational context.
