Overview
We’re partnering with a forward-thinking construction consultancy on a key hire: a Programme Manager to lead complex, multi-stakeholder programmes from strategy through to successful delivery. You’ll bring clear thinking, first-class people skills, and the agility to steer programmes in fast-moving environments. Experience delivering large, high-profile programmes—ideally in healthcare—will set you apart, though backgrounds in IT or education are also welcome.
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end programme delivery—scope, governance, budget, risk, and benefits realisation.
- Build robust business cases, align stakeholders, and secure approvals.
- Establish and run effective programme controls, reporting, and assurance (PMO).
- Lead multi-disciplinary teams and supply chains to drive outcomes and value.
- Communicate crisply: present milestones, risks, and decisions to boards and senior leaders.
- Champion continuous improvement and business transformation across projects and portfolios.
What you’ll bring
- Proven track record as a Programme Manager on major projects (NHS/healthcare strongly preferred; IT/education considered).
- Sharp critical-thinking and problem-solving skills; calm under pressure.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills at all levels.
- Demonstrable experience crafting persuasive business cases and delivering board-level presentations.
- Solid grasp of programme methodologies and PMO practices (e.g., MSP, PRINCE2, APM).
- Strong organisation and multi-project juggling in a pacey, change-oriented setting.
- Degree (Business/Project Mgmt or related). PMP/PRINCE2/MSP advantageous.
Why join
- Work with a consultancy that’s scaling, innovating, and investing in its people.
- Visible impact on complex, community-shaping programmes.
- Inclusive, collaborative culture; genuine agile/hybrid working.
- Competitive package with clear progression.
