Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor looking to take the lead on high-profile projects while enjoying genuine career progression within a growing consultancy environment? We are working with an established and highly respected construction and property consultancy seeking two Senior Quantity Surveyors to join their expanding team. This is an excellent opportunity to work across a diverse portfolio of projects within the residential, healthcare and higher education sectors, managing schemes from initial feasibility through to final account. The business has a strong pipeline of work, a collaborative culture and a reputation for delivering outstanding client service across both public and private sector projects.

The Role

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of multiple projects, providing both pre and post-contract cost management services while building strong relationships with clients and project stakeholders. Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparation of cost plans, feasibility studies and development appraisals
  • Cost management throughout the project lifecycle
  • Managing procurement and tender processes
  • Preparation and administration of contract documentation
  • Cost reporting and financial forecasting
  • Change control and risk management
  • Value engineering and value management exercises
  • Contract administration under JCT and NEC contracts
  • Liaising with clients, contractors and design teams
  • Managing project delivery and commercial performance
  • Mentoring and supporting junior team members
  • Supporting business development activities and client relationship management

About You

We are keen to hear from candidates who can demonstrate:

  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
  • MRICS Chartered status (or working towards chartership with relevant experience)
  • Approximately 6+ years’ consultancy or client-side experience
  • Strong pre and post-contract expertise
  • Experience delivering projects within residential, healthcare, education or mixed-use sectors
  • Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills
  • Strong client-facing and stakeholder management abilities
  • Experience working with JCT and NEC forms of contract
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong reporting, analytical and communication skills
  • Experience using CostX would be advantageous
