An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced façade professional to join a highly respected multidisciplinary consultancy with a strong reputation across the built environment sector. This role offers the chance to work within a successful and growing specialist team, delivering high-profile projects across a diverse client portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • We are seeking an Associate or Associate Director level individual with extensive expertise in façade systems and external wall construction.
  • You will be comfortable interrogating complex façade designs and construction methodologies, whilst providing strategic technical guidance to both internal teams and clients.
  • The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering technical assurance and oversight across projects, including reviewing design, engineering and construction documentation, monitoring live construction works, undertaking technical audits, supporting tender reviews, responding to RFIs, carrying out due diligence exercises and providing construction oversight inspections.
  • You will possess a strong understanding of current Building Regulations and statutory requirements, particularly in relation to fire safety and façade compliance, alongside a practical appreciation of construction best practice.
  • As a senior member of the team, you will also be responsible for producing and reviewing high-quality technical reports, client correspondence and project documentation, whilst supporting the ongoing development of junior team members and contributing to client relationships and business growth.

Qualifications

  • A degree in Building Engineering, Façade Engineering, Architecture or a related discipline.
  • Chartered status or membership with a relevant professional institution (or working towards).
  • Significant experience within a consultancy, engineering practice or specialist façade environment.
  • Proven expertise in façade inspections, compliance reviews and external wall systems.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • A commercial and client-focused approach.
